Profiles of Three Japanese Architects [Or Exercises in Name Dropping?].

Okay, so I'm not one for name-dropping, but than again, I don't get the opportunity to do it very often... I was at a backyard BBQ party the other night with other UBC and Japanese students, professors, and local architects. Three of those architects included Jun Aoki, Kengo Kuma, and Toyo Ito. Their work represents Japan's current generation of highly venerated and established architects, and it will only be a matter of time before photos of their work (from yours truly) are posted on this site. [In case you're wondering, we did not act like a bunch of excited school girls in their presence. The operative words here are "in their presence."]

For now, check out some of the works Jun Aoki, Kengo Kuma, and Toyo Ito. The photos in today's post were from the architects' respective websites.
